What is a cosmetic tattoo?

A cosmetic tattoo uses either a machine or a handheld tool to implant pigment just beneath the surface layer of skin.(Around the depth of a piece of paper.) The process enables women to wake up to the most natural looking eyebrows, that last.

How Long will my eyebrow tattoo last?

Generally Microblading lasts around 12 months, and the machine technique can last up to 3 years. It varies depending on a number of factors, such as but not  limited to; lifestyle, medications, natural immunity, sun exposure, skin type etc. An annual booster is recommended to keep your brows  looking fresh.

What happens on the day?

On the day, I allow plenty of time so we are never rushed! To start with there are some forms for you to fill in, we will discuss how you want your dream brows to look. Next I start mapping out, and drawing on your brows. I will show you in the mirror and can tweak the shape as many times as needed, until you are happy. Next it's selecting a colour, I will always use a lighter colour at the first session as more colour can always be added at your top up session. I will then work my magic and show you the results afterwards. In 4-6 weeks I will see you again for a complimentary retouch to perfect any areas that need touching up. The pigment is an antibody so some of the pigment will be disposed of during the healing process.

Is it painful?

The treatment can be slightly uncomfortable, but bearable. I would advise against pre-numbing as it changes the composition of the skin making it difficult to tell which depth I'm working in. Pigment must be safely inserted into the upper dermal layer of the skin to prevent scarring, and poor colour retention.

Can I wear makeup on the day?

Yes of course, Infact if you normally wear makeup, please feel free to do your brow makeup like you usually would to give me an idea of what you're used to.
